The plate mail armor worn by the great paladin Tencill the Mighty has been thought lost for decades. The heroic Tencill set out on a quest to eliminate a terrible ancient black dragon wreaking havoc in the Marsh of Sorrows. The dragon, Nishrum the Dark, and Tencill fought for several weeks, each calling upon their allies - the despicable frog-men obedient from fear to Nishrum and the Marsh Fey flocking for honor and glory to Tencill's banner. At long last, both foes met for single combat at the deepest point of the marsh - and Nishrum slew Tencill with a great sweep of his tail.
The Marsh Fey army attempted to recover Tencill's body, but the ancient wyrm breathed a mighty spray of acid, decimating a major portion of the army. Routed, the fey abandoned the field and Tencill's remains were left to the mercy of the dragon.
Nishrum, fearing another hero might obtain the armor and challenge the dragon's domain, placed a ruinous curse upon the armor. Nishrum the Dark then ordered the frog-men to bury the armor, and to record no trace of its location. The armor has been lost ever since.
After the Curse of Nishrum the Dark, the following negative properties are present:
As a cursed armor the item cannot be given away, disposed of, sold, etc. The armor may not be removed unless the curse is first broken. The curse can be broken for a given bearer with the Remove Curse spell, which would allow the bearer to remove the armor and no longer be affected (either positively or negatively). The spell would not remove the actual curse on the armor, and the next bearer would suffer all the benefits and limitations.
