The Dragonborn Lands of Calamity

The Dwarven Lands of Temint

Overview

The capital city of Temint is also named Temint - a city starting in the foothills of the Beantann Bagaidh and extending into them. The city has three "ages", or wards, that the citizens designate based on the age of the construction. Burakrin is the oldest portion of the city and refers to the actual tunnels and mines where the richest and most established dwarf clans live. Daern is the extended walled city portion, arranged as large half-circle steps extending from the mountain, where the city first expanded. Daern is home to most of the artisans of Temint. The portion of the city outside the walls is called Thorkinment, a portmanteau of "thorkin", meaning surface dweller, and "settlement".

The Librum Arcanum, one of the great wizarding towers, is located in Temint's Daern age.

The Elven Lands of Silva

The Faunus Lands of Remnant

Overview

Remnant comprises the lands where the final stands of the Faunus against Humanity (primarily human and elves) were made. The hills and barrier mountains allowed the Faunus to commit hit-and-run raids against the supply lines, the forest provided a natural buffer zone, and the lands beyond were rich in nutrients allowing the Faunus to grow the crops they needed to sustain their population.

In the present day, the Faunus tend to keep to themselves, and they are generally unwelcoming of visitors. Curiously, though, the Adventurers' Guild has a very large administrative center in the capital city of Menagerie - and those belonging to the guild are at least tolerated. They trade extensively with the both the barbarian tribes in Squdal A Tuath, who prioritize life and living over silly prejudice, and the various cities of the Glass Desert, a (mostly) outlaw region anyway.

The Orc Lands of Orcut

The Icy Expanse of Sguadal A Tuath

Overview

The icy wastes known as Squdal A Tuath are home to dozens of tribes of hardy folk. Some have fled their way north from war, famine, or the winds of political change. Some have deliberately eschewed the frivolity and uselessness of so-called “modern” life and have sought a pure existence. Many have been born here and know nothing of the warm climates of the regions southward past the Beantann Bacaidh – the “Barrier Mountains”.

There are few permanent settlements here. The most well-known is Hillshome - a rough frontier town home to many dwarves, gnomes, and similar folk. Hillshome see much trade with the southern kingdoms, who covet the exotic materials found here for their research and spell components.
